Line Jumper Part 1

Well this is a Fan Fiction Story I've been writing Part two is Sonic related so I hope you like it.Part 1 of 4: We get the Jumper

I should have seen this coming, a mean I went to the Kingdom… Leave me alone you Stupid Heartless! Ok, I think they should be gone. Let’s start at the beginning, my name is James Cody Anderson, but most people me JC. This story starts about a week ago.
I was watching TV with my twin brother Daniel, (but most people call him DJ) and we see this:
“Like Comic books, Japanese Manga, and Graphic Novels?

While it was on DJ got the Phone. “Your not seriously thinking of calling are you?” I ask him.” Not only am I thinking about it Jimmy, I am calling,” he tells me. “I just hope I’m one of the... Hello, Yes, I am? I won! What, oh one Second, JC can you spot me $12.95”
“Shipping Cost?” I ask, he nodded, “Ok I’ll give you the money, but you have to share it with me” I told him.
“Fine,” He got back on the phone, “I’m here sir. My address is 2929 N. 3rd St., Anchorage Alaska 99506. Cool thank you Sir. It will here in three days.”

“Cool, well it would say we should get our comics then huh?” I tell him he agrees and we get every comic, manga, and Graphic novel we have. That list includes: Marvel Comics of all kinds, Some DC Comics Mostly Batman, Kingdom Hearts, Mario Bros, The Percy Jackson Series, and the Watchmen. A lot right, and yes some of those are Video games.

Flash forward three days later, we get home to find the mail man at our door DJ Runs Nearly tackling the guy saying, “It’s Here, It’s Here” I help the guy up and pay him the $12.95 plus an extra 5 bucks for the trouble and walk inside. It must not have been more then 30 seconds and he already had it out of the box with a pile of comics of the floor it looked like an Ipad with a Scanner under it. “How do you turn it on?” I asked DJ.
“All it says is to plug it in and Put a comic in the scanner.” He answered.
“So which one do we do first?” I said, “This one,” He holds up an Avengers comic, “They meet the X-men in it.”
“Ok by me but I choose the next one,” I told him.
He loaded the comic in the scanner. I can’t really say that happened next. All I know there was a big flash of light and all the sudden I wake up in a different room. Looking around confused I go to the next room to find DJ lying on a couch. I wake him up. As I do he says, “Football Practice! Wait. What?”
“You alright Danny?” I asked “You tell me, all I know is there was that bright flash and next thing I know I wake up here.” Then he asks the Million dollar question. “Where is ‘here’ anyway?” Puzzled my self I go to the window in the room and am shocked at what is there in front of me. The room we were in was 25 stories above the ground over looking Central Park in New York City! “Danny, Come here,” I say.
“What is the snow blocking the window again…HOLY New York City! But how? Why? What Going On Here?!?” Danny starts to panic, and then it gets weirder “Daniel, Cool down!” I say as I put my hands out in fount of me. Just then a Small burst of ice shoots out and hits him on the arm. Almost instantly a fire erupts form his left hand. He looses it and starts running at what looks like 100 MPH going “My hands on fire, my hands on Fire!” I run and tackle him down. “Calm down Daniel, it not any more see!” He looks down to see that sure enough the fire went out on his whole hand and was a little flame, and then went out altogether. The Room phone rings. I pick up to here a voice say, “James its 7:30 in the morning tell that Twin of yours to Shut up please?!?” instinctively I Said back, “Sorry Logan you know how he is some mornings.” He responds, “well this better not happen again James!” And hangs up
Danny is just looking at me, “Was that Wolverine?” he asks. “Yes it was and if you don’t want what happened last time to happen again… What am I Saying?” I was twice as confused as I was before. Why did I just talk about something that never happened but it sounded like it needed to be said. Danny made it weirder when he said, “yah and last time was on accident” as he touched a scar on his arm that wasn’t there before. “WHAT?” we both say.
Just them there’s a knock at the door. I look threw the Peep Hole to see two men outside the room. “Who is it?” Danny asks. “It’s the Professor-X and Scott.” I answer as I Let them in. They looked exactly as they were made out to look in the comics. The Professor-X in his Wheelchair and Scott with his red sun glasses on. “You’ve had a busy morning haven’t you boys?” Professor-X asks us, “Yes Sir.” We both say.
Scott asks Danny, “DJ if you control fire on a daily basis why did you scream right now?”
“Please Scott let me Explain,” The Professor starts. “These boys aren’t who you think they are; at least they don’t think so anyway.” I but in, “Professor, forgive me but we don’t know what you’re talking about.” He then says, “James do me a favor and go get the backpack in your room.” I go to the room I woke up in sure enough there’s a small black backpack there. I get it and go back to the others. “Open it and pull out what you find” he tells me. I do so to find the line jumper and some comics. I pull them out “Boys what I’m going to tell you does leave room understand?” The Professor says, “That device isn’t a comic book reader, it’s a portal.” “A portal Professor?” I Ask. “Yes James, it’s a portal to the universe of the comic book you put in the scanner. It even makes it like you belong in that universe, like the powers you both have now.” Danny asks, “So we’re going to adapt to our surroundings?” “Exactly Daniel,” the Professor continues, “even to the point where you also keep the adaptations you get. For example you both have super speed and the power to control an element: Ice for you James and Fire for you Daniel.” He continued “And what ever comic universe you go to next you’ll keep those abilities, and gain new ones.”
“When does it end?” I ask. He told us, “When you find the universe you came from or one you would like to stay in. I feel I have to warn you however if you don’t go back you’ll never see your real friends and family again, only the family you have in that universe. Gentlemen this device choose you to be its owner. And there are others that were to. You might even meet some of them. But what you do with this device or the new powers you have will decide where you go from here on out. That is all I have to tell you now. Go start your adventure and remember like a good book all you have to do is put the same comic in again to continue that adventure.” And with that I looked at the comics I had. Imminently I knew where I wanted to go next. “Danny lets Go say hi to our favorite video game character.” I sad holding up my favorite comic: Sonic the Hedgehog. “Good bye Professor and thanks for the advice.” Danny says as I load the comic in to the Jumper. There’s another bright flash of light.
That’s how our Journey started. We’ve been to many places since them, “Jimmy there’s a bunch of Heartless headed your way!” “Thanks Danny!” Well I guess that’s all I can tell you for now, Danny probably can take it from here, this is James signing off. “Ok Heartless, give me your best shot!”
