General rules still apply.

- Be civil. We're a pretty lenient forum, but any flaming, hostility, forcing of opinions and values, and attacking of those shared by others will not be tolerated at all.

- No quote-sniping. Taking apart a post sentence by sentence, and then posting brief counter-arguments, is ineffective. It's also really boring for others to read and takes up space. If you're debating with one other user, and starting to drift off-topic, remember to stay on track. If you're unable to, make a brand new thread!

- Back up the big stuff. If you say something controversial (alligators can fly) without an argument or explanation, you'll look like a butt and will probably be getting a warning.

- Assume good nature/faith in others. If we call someone a troll after the first couple posts, that label sticks for future posts, and that's NO GOOD. Only assume that we all want to talk about anything, or at most, understand each other, unless proven otherwise.

- No homework questions unless you have absolutely tried everywhere else. 2 + 2 = 4

- No swearing, quote trains, or excessive caps-lock. I don't think I need to explain what a quote train is because you've probably seen it often.

- No images for getting reactions, please, and if an image is not completely related to the topic discussed, this is likely to get you a warning. Images alone aren't very good responses, but we do know that a picture is worth a thousand characters.

- "I'm right, you're wrong!" arguments that derail a thread will be locked.

- Don't be a openly backseat moderator. Quietly report to a mod so that a thread does not derail.

- Don't be a condescending jerk. The behavior is too obvious, and you'll be warned.

- Don't post a link on it's own unless you've got something to say. Why do you feel it's relevant or helpful to the discussion? What do you think other posters would gain from reading the material?

- Responding to someone without knowing the context too well can be frustrating at times. If a thread is small, read it all. If it's too large, at least look at the first page and a couple pages after the last in order to know what's going on. Of course, this is only if we get some discussion going.

- Citations and stats really help any arguments you may have.

- If you were warned, it was probably for a reason. Figure out what behavior caused this and be introspective. If you were trolling, it's not our problem.

- If you're making a lengthy post then edit and check over it for spelling errors before submission. We all make the the stupidest mistakes sometimes, but even when we do, nobody may notice them.

- Thread tiles should be clear and unbiased.
