Just got the game yesterday when I got home from work. It's definitly alot of fun and I love the music soundtrack for the two worlds I've tried so far. I got to say though, just when I was getting use to Jason's voice work for the character they changed it....and he's really not as bad as alot of people I've talked to were complaining about. I think he plays the character pretty well. It makes me think of what AoSTH/SatAM Sonic would sound like if he were older. Course I like voice actors who make the characters sound more heroic/mature and all that, but thats just a personal preference ^_^;

it took me some time to get used to sonics new voice but after that everything was fine.

i loved how Sega made the game funny


besides getting familiar with the new sonic voice my only other gripe is that the game's music is not as catchy as sonic unleashed music but that's OK!

Hmm... that is possibly the deepest voice Sonic has ever had, gunna take some getting used to, but overall sounds a LOT better than the garbage they've been using recently, Tails is much better too, I just hope they stick with these voice actors rather than the trash that voiced Sonic Free Riders...

On a side note, Eggman still doesn't sound sinister and evil enough for me, still sounds (and probably is) too goofy, I think Deem Bristow in Sonic Adventure was the closest Eggman ever got to being as sinister in a game as he was in SatAm, and even that was confined to just a few scenes at the beginning and end of some characters stories, it was a massive shame when he passed away and they replaced him with that blasted 4Kids voice actor...

Kinda' reminds me of how fans were when Platinum Dunes did the Nightmare on Elm Street last year and everyone was like, "Freddy's Back!" I was just like, "Umm, he never left. The videos kept selling well after Wes Craven's New Nightmare, the DVDs sold nicely, DVD re-releases also sold well, Freddy vs Jason was fun and brought in more interest to the franchise as well as Friday the 13th, and there was always memorabilia, and Freddy never really went away. A character dying in a final installment or anything like that doesn't mean they're gone forever from popular culture. I mean seriously, if people are still upset over the whole Boba Fett becoming a Sarlaac snack, they can just pop in the Empire dvd and watch his scenes from that (although Temuera Morrison's voice-dub can go lick farts).

Well okay I guess the Freddy situation is not the exact same concept since there have been new Sonic games practically every year whereas Freddy didn't have a new movie for a long time between New Nightmare and FvJ, but to me the same sorta' thinking applies on a different level. I'll put it like this, I'm not fond of the modern Sonic stuff, but Sonic's never left since I've played the classics a lot and still do. As long as I have fun playing the Sonic stuff I enjoy, he's never really gone.

Unless I'm mistaken, "Free Riders" was made AFTER the Big Voice Actor Change-Up; erego, the voices in "Free Riders" and "Colors" are the same for all characters. It may simply be that they had more experience with the characters come "Colors", though.

I'll agree Bristow is far and away the best Eggman VA we've gotten (referring specifically to the SEGA character as seen in "Sonic Adventure" onwards, not all Robotniks ever), including Chikao Otsuka. But to his credit, Mike Pollock is at least decent if not spectacular, and certainly a cut above pretty much every other 4Kids voice actor's Sonic work in my opinion.

I pre-ordered the game and picked it up but that same day I discovered my wii no longer worked. I didn't even get to see the title screen in the wii menu *sniff*. It'll be FOREVER until I get a new wii and until then, I'll just have the Sonic Colors case mocking me

Auugh that's the worst. The day I purchased Soul Calibur II for my Gamecube, the lens stopped working.
My then-boyfriendguy proceeded to throw the system off my front porch. :/

Same with my Gamecube, I actually bought it used but it worked great for the first few months. I guess you get what you pay for :/

And it's true, they purposely don't make sturdy systems like they used to.
I had my SNES for 10 years before mine was crushed in during moving. That broke my heart. My mother gave away the remainder of the games as it turns out, and all that remained was a single The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past guidebook which I gave to a member of the site.
Still, point being, no internal issues plagued it, and my Dreamcast remained strong and true for the duration I owned it. The ol' Playstation 2 still works as good as I bought it in '02.

Is Sonic back? Having just completed the DS version of the game and watched the Wii cutscenes online, my diagnosis:

Sonic could not be more back if he hijacked a freight train full of Posture Pals.

Attitude. Snark. Confidence. Wit. A sense of humour. Friendly banter. A facial and emotional range greater than a cardboard box.

This is the Sonic I remember as a young whippersnapper. He's been getting a lot better these past couple games and it's great to see him fully realised again here. I honestly don't think I've seen the character with this much personality on-screen since the original Adventure. Kudos, SEGA. Glad to see you loosening things up again.

Double kudos to the Colours writers too. I'm listening to all the Eggman PAs heard throughout the Wii version right now. Funniest game of the franchise. Easily.
