    SatAM avatar gallery:

Currently there's only 300,000 to choose from, I guess I should get back to cropping and resizing...

300,000?!? Can we say that it's more than enough? DId you make these? If so, do you think there's a possible way to make a "best-of" without taking an incredible amount of your time?

    Hehe, nice choices, darkknight109, Gojira007!

Thony Hedgehog wrote:DId you make these?

Of course, each one was carefully cropped and resized by hand; no wonder my wrists hurt so much...

Just kidding; they're actually randomly-selected frames from randomly-selected episodes of SatAM. They're pulled directly from the video files whenever you load the page, so you're almost guaranteed unique images each time. By estimate there's something like 300,000 unique frames in SatAM (both seasons), which is where that figure comes from.

As for a "best of" selection, that would require quite a lot of work, but the links can be pasted into forum posts if you come across any particularly amusing ones!

I actually plucked some other shots out of the list for use in a sig I'm thinking of. Actually, I got a lot of environment shots as well. See, I'm a miniatures-modeller in my spare time (mostly Warhammer 40 000) and I might try my hand at making some Robotropolis, Mobotropolis and Knothole models. Not only would it be a cool SatAM-related project, but they could double as terrain in my games (Many of the Robotropolis buildings would fit right in on a space hulk or an Imperium city, while Mobotropolis architechture actually looks remarkably similar to the Eldar. Knothole could just be a random settlement somewhere...)

EDIT: On an unrelated note, I like this pic. Good avatar material. Except I like my current one better.

Also, some funny shots I found:

Cute! Actually it reminded me of this one, which is quite possibly the cutest frame I've seen in a while: http://knothole.no-ip.org:8080/FunFun-500049221340-692158CA-84A91354

OK, you have now supplied me with an avatar with a different board with an absolutely fantastic "Sonic-is-stoned" frame.

Great! Though I have to say, the one you're using already is just about perfect!

    Hey, thanks!

Anyone have any suggestions for improvements? There's still a bit of scope for tweaking (at least before the spaghetti code turns into more of a curry...)

The only thing I can think that would improve it is if you could add text somehow. Dunno if that's possible or not.

Believe me, if I ever get off my rear and actually start modelling terrain, you guys will be the first to see the end results.
