Someone uploaded three episodes in french on youtube ! "Cauchemar Sonic" (Sonic's Nightmare), "Sonic et les parchemins secrets" (Sonic & the secrets scrolls) and "Bang Sonic" (Sonic Boom).

Bunnie was called Marylin, Swatbots were called "Cerbères" (in reference of Cerberus maybe), Snively was "Lafouine", Antoine Depardieu was called "Antoine de la Renardière", Power Rings were "Survolt'anneau", Bunnie's "Sugah-hog" is "Chourisson"...

I've never understood why Bunnie had a different name in the French dub. Does anyone know if it's different in other dubs too?

It's interesting that the French title is "The Adventures Of Sonic & Sally."

I had no idea that this show was even dubbed in any other languages. :/

Yeah, it was dubbed in French, Spanish, Arabic, German?, and... Italian? There may have been more too.

Bunnie may have been renamed Marylin because she was the pretty girl of the cast, with a charming way to talk ('mon chou", "chourisson"...) and it may have been a way to emphasize her cuteness.

Ummm... that was not the AOSTH song. The AOSTH theme was a combo of "all hail the mountin king" "The flight of the bumblebee" and the Sonic the Hedgehog theme.
Anyways, I like our theme better. It sounds more epic in combination with the video.

EDIT: Now I see what you mean. AOSTH and SATAM have the same theme in the french dub. That's weierd. And some people have trouble telling the two american shows apart!

Nice find, Adamis! Not knowing a word of French myself, I found watching these eps an interesting experience -- it draws much more attention to the animation and tone of voice, once the distraction of language parsing is removed.

What a strange choice of voice actor for Sonic though! Nowhere near as "hedge-like" as any of his English voices. But somehow, I can almost see it growing on me...

I don't really know why they used the same song for both shows. Maybe for the kids?...

Or the cash! Hire a musician only once, and the publishing company receives twice the royalties. A win-win situation, just as long as you're not a musician. =P

I also like how Robotnik has a 'robotic' effect added to his voice, it makes him sound more artificial and sinister... I wonder what the Original voice actor would sound like with that effect.

In France, there was a channel named "La Cinquième" that had various cartoons and animes. The channel stopped a few years a go but someone made a video with some parts of those different cartoons the channel aired...

Great find! I couldn't understand 98% of what the characters were saying, but the episodes were still enjoyable to watch. The voice actors were well chosen as well IMO.

The theme song threw me for a curve, because I'm so used to the "dark theme". However, it did grow on me quite quickly! I also agree that it's odd seeing Antoine speak proper french...just like everyone else, hehe.

Was SatAM and AoSTH as popular in France as they are here?
