I got my avatar because I like Carly Carmine from Yugioh 5d's.

Pretty simple for me. Sonic is a pimp, and I would like his image to represent me in everything I do on this board. Thanks for the approval Sonic!

Apparently I need to stick to male avatars to avoid confusion. :nervous: Well, I do like this avatar, and it was about time for a change.

This. It bugs me how it's hard to use an avatar featuring a character of the opposite sex, because you become associated with that character to a degree, thus the gender.

I don't mind my avatar currently though. Black Lady is cool.

Oh, yeah, I remember you sporting an epic SatAM Robotnik avatar. Well, as much as I like Nicole's Mobian design, being associated with her is something else entirely. In my case, it'd be better to be associated with future Knux instead.

Wanted to go for a different one this time around, still hide my face but in a more subtle way unlike the previous Red Skull-ish lookin' ones.

Okay so they were more blue skull-ish but eh I had fun makin' 'em. Still wanted to keep the blue touch in this one, so I experimented with it a bit and eventually got what I have now.

Yeah! I remember I had to specifically clarify in a thread that my username is, in fact, a reference to my actual name... which is a girl's name.

Then why do some people still think I'm a guy?

Somebody uploaded it here and I liked it and asked if I could use it as an avatar. The answer was yes

A lot of people tend to think that I'm a girl because of my avatars. A lot of my avatars tend to be of female characters like Sally and Fiona Fox.
I myself never try to judge a person by there avatar.

I guess that it's because the avatar is meant to somehow represent the user behind it, and one of the first things our minds seem to want to determine is what gender the person we're talking to is.

    ------

My avatar is a part of a drawing I made years ago. It was a kind of serious, yet comical picture in my eyes. Simply because everyone I showed it to exclaimed "It's Jebus!".

So, one day I snipped down the picture to use it as an avatar, and since then it stuck as one of my favorites.
Maturity isn't just knowing when to stop, it's knowing when not to start at all.
