Yeah the drawings are bit rough, start working on form/construction. Once you have the basics of that, you'll have much more control. Same goes for proportions.
As for the details, try not to incorporate so many, especially at this stage. Most beginners focus on detail and that affects the readability of the drawing as a whole as it leads to a cluttered design. To put it simply, you need enough empty space between the contours and whatever little details you do draw.

For now, make form/construction and proportions your primary focus. Nearly everything else is an offshoot of those two areas.
