Wow, that pic is awesome! Man, if i lived in vegas i'd go there often. There's no Sonic Store at the Ontario Mills Gameworks in Cali. But there are sonic toys in the claw machines and prize booths.

The Sonic Store is nothing too special, it's just a way to get most of the common liscensed products in one place. Nothing exclusive, or anything. Gameworks as a whole does have some exclusive Sonic stuff that you can't get anywhere else, but you usually have to win it with tickets if you can't bribe an employee. I went to GameWorks this past summer, and I have to say, it was way past cool! The best way to describe it is like a little miniature Sega World. I had to drive over 500 miles to get to one, because I live on the East Coast, and the nearest one is in Newport, Kentucky (right outside Cincinnatti). Still, it was totally worth it. GameWorks is owned by Sega, so it's sort of a testing ground for all of their newest games. The complex that was home to the GameWorks I went to had huge SEGA signs on the roof, which I had pictures of, until my little brother got into the memory card and accidentally deleted them. When I got to the Newport location, I found a brand spanking new Sonic Air Hockey table. Because it was so new and shiny, the puck moved nearly as fast as Sonic himself! Here's a picture of it:



There were hundreds of arcade games there, arranged in "zones" (this is something Sega does in almost every amusement center it operates). The Speed Zone had racing games and virtual reality simulators. I was looking forward to the Indy 500 cars, but they had been replaced with a similar Hummer-themed game. Still fun. The Sports Zone had sports-themed games and a bar, where I got a plastic cup with the Sega logo on it for free by asking a very confused-looking waitress for it. The Big Win Zone has redemption games and UFO catchers, which usually contain Sonic plushies. After spending who knows how much money, I managed to catch a tiny Sonic plush. The redemption center stocks all kinds of Sonic goodies. Well, most of the time, anyway. It depends on when you visit, because sometimes if they're in between prize shipments, the selection can be sparse. GameWorks has given away all kinds of Sonic things, from beach balls to frisbees to whoopie cushions. Here's some pictures of my GameWorks stuff:




I love this cup! It has a curved inner part at the bottom and a picture of Sonic, which produces some very cool visual effects when you view the cup from different angles.



Sonic sticker sheet. These are small, but inexpensive. It was kind of funny to see all of the places around town where little kids had stuck these.

I also have an embroidered Sonic hat:


and my personal favorite, the Sonic paper plate. While wandering around GameWorks, I came across a kid's birthday party. I spotted a stack of these paper plates on the table, asked for one, and was happily given one. This plate is mega-rare because not only is it a GameWorks exclusive, it was only available if you booked a (very expensive) birthday party there. Plus, due to the disposable nature of the item, I would imagine that not too many were saved from the dumpster. This is one of my favorite items because it's so colorful and unique!





Other awesome things about GameWorks:

On Thursday evenings (when I went), you can play unlimited games (as long as they aren't redemption games or UFO catchers) for $10. You can play again and again and again and never have to worry about running out of money! It's gamer's heaven.

The restaurant in GameWorks had menus written in the Sega font. This might have changed since I was there. Children's menus have Sonic coloring pages on them.

If you're lucky, you might run into this adorable Sonic mascot:




There are only 6 GameWorks facilities left, and the place has been in dire financial straits for a while. I recommend you check it out if you can, while you have the chance! Going there will always be a cherished memory for me. I'll never forget all the fun I had, and all the Sonic I found!

Off topic, but my local(ish) arcade and bowling had 3 of those hockey tables. They brought them in when they had to get rid of the massive (and ace) Outrun 2 machines (Sega lost the Ferrari licence so I imagine thats why they got removed) but recently the tables have been moved elsewhere - to where I dont yet know

In a return visit last weekend, SatAM is still being screened at this location PLUS I had the added horror of the dancing Sonic (people in costumes freak me out). But, dangit, was so upset about there being no girls' tees. I mean, really. C'mon and get with it.
