    Dr Conrad Murray Found Guilty!

Today Dr Conrad Murray was found guilty for the involuntary manslaughter of pop-star icon Michael Jackson. He is now in jail awaiting for his sentencing on Nov 29th and he could face at least 4 years in prison. I'm so glad Michael and his family finally got justice, 2 years they've waiting for this moment as well as millions of fans worldwide.

I'm sorry but 4 years in jail isn't enough for what he did.

Ikr! 4 years only scratches the surface but it's good Dr Murray's going to prison and becoming someone's... :whistling: *ahem* well u probably know what i was gonna say  . Michael Jackson was a human being just like all of us, but he was a legendary entertainer, an over-protective yet good father and a humanitarian. Killing someone with those credentials should get at least 25 years.

Excuse me for not caring much on this. Michael Jackson did it to himself. Sure the Doctor gave him the stuff and so on but guess what? If he didn't,Michael Jackson would have just found a doctor somewhere who would have. So... Sure the Doctor broke the law. However it would have happened eventually.

Involuntary Manslaughter implies that those prosecuting the defendant haven't an inclination of trying to prove malice, thus accidental. I don't think he should even see jail time. He should lose his license to practice as he's demonstrated that he's incompetent in regards to his profession.

I find it disgusting that "fans" and family partake in this school yard-esque cheering. Why gloss over the fact that Jacko was an addict? An addict with lots of money. How come none of his family even tried to intervene and suggest he get help? They're not guilty of negligence, but they're guilty of being bad family.

Did you watch the whole thing live? I solely rely on articles posted in motley websites because I was not able to watch it. The verdict was involuntary manslaughter, and it was in contrast to the death being an act of malpractice.

Basically, medical malpractice is negligence committed by a health care professional, whose performance of duties depart from the standard of care of those with similar training and experience. On the contrary, there is certainly a big misconception about medical negligence. This reminds me of the article written by Mr. Haskell, a popular lawyer in Spokane WA that has won a bunch of million dollar legal claims. Please allow me to share it. Here it is: Medical Mistakes -- A Primer on the Basics of Medical Malpractice. That will widen your horizons about medical malpractice regarding some medical issues.

To conclude, not all claims connected with clinical practice are MEDICAL MALPRACTICE. There are so called legal aspects that must be considered before concluding the case, that is why Dr. Conrad Murray was going to jail for involuntary manslaughter, and not medical malpractice.
