That was from one of my favorite comic strips...my personal favorite, Calvin and Hobbes...which is about a six-year-old boy named Calvin and his plush tiger, Hobbes as the two have many adventures going back to a comic strip that started in 1985 and lasted till 1997!

I loved this comic and have three collections of Calvin and Hobbes strips! What is your favorite comic strip you liked to read?

I loooooooove Calvin and Hobbes!
I have several of the books, as well. One of my favorites: Calvin has to write a story for homework and he doesn't want to. Calvin gets into his "time machine" and he and Hobbes travel one hour into the future (to 7:30), only the 7:30 Calvin hasn't done it either. And neither has the 8:30 Calvin. The chaos that ensues is hilarious and so is Hobbes' solution.

I also enjoy reading Garfield.

I too love Calvin and Hobbes! There are so many favorite strips of those two...I like when Hobbes tells Calvin something but Calvin gets in trouble and Hobbes is a plush tiger but he comes back to let Calvin have it after one of his complaints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What channel do you think a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon would have aired on? My pick is CBS. I know Garfield was on that channel. What is your pick?

Hmm...I watched Saturday morning cartoons on both ABC and CBS...I'd say CBS, too. I used to watch Garfield all the time.

But then, ABC aired my beloved Sonic cartoon, so...

Yes...the Sonic series would get the tiebreaker over a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. Season 1 used to air at 9 a.m. and season 2 aired at 8 a.m. (Season 1 did have a doubleheader from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.). I'd project a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon would have fitted either a 10:00 a.m. or a 10:30 a.m. slot.

I would love the parts when Hobbes attacks Calvin with the "tiger leap" whenever Calvin comes home from school or tries to go into his room!

Yes, that would be very funny.

That reminds me of another strip I like...Calvin comes home and asks his mom if she's fed Hobbes that day. She rolled her eyes and said it must have slipped her mind. Then Calvin says, "Oh great, you just wanna douse me in steak sauce before I go to my room?"

Calvin and Hobbes always cracked me up. I like the comics that have his babysitter Rosalyn, too.
