I was four. I had no idea who or what Sonic was, but after the first episode I was a fan for life. Here's a funny story: being so young, the good doctor scared the hell out of me. So when I played the games at 4 or 5 I thought the round guy in the egg mobile was the same character. I had nightmares about dying in a Sonic game because of Jim Cummings voice. So I would always make my father beat the bosses for me.

I was -5 years old. XD (Yeah, it came out long before I was born) But I first watched it when I was five, turning six in a month or two, back in 2004. Took eleven years for me to get into it. :nervous:
"Shadow, why are you doing this?" "It was what Maria wanted..." "Shadow, you must make everybody perish...." "Are you sure? Maybe she said..." "Get a place in Paris..." "Oh my gosh, you're right!"

Tails, my first crush. I love you. :D

Yakko, I love you too. I will be your Hello Nurse! *awesome face*

I was 11 years old back in late 1993. I would only discover the show by accident since I was still watching cartoons and it would show on the Global Television Network here in Toronto. I never managed to tape much off the air and it wasn't long before it was taken off. I struggled to find the show somewhere but without luck. The internet was also not as comprehensive back in the mid 1990s and a desktop PC could easily cost 2 grand, a laptop about 4 grand (and laptops earlier on didn't have wi fi), so getting onto the internet at first was not easy to find some of this stuff, especially if u didn't have much money. In spite of my then brief exposure to the show, it was a big inspiration to me and my youngest brother. I went on to explore the world of furry art with Team Artail, Yerf and then FurAffinity, so I do have some art skills that I have acquired over the years, but with some practise I know I can do better. I honestly see no reason why some skilled fan artists of SatAM couldn't pull it off, it's really easy to obtain the software to make animation and there are plenty of skilled people with lots of spare time what with this rotten economy we're living with right now. I guess we'll see what happens next...

8, but I didn't even know about the show until I was maybe 13. It was AoStH that I watched first in elementary.

I didn't see it until I woke up early one morning and flipped the channel- and found it by surprise. After that I found out about the comics and such.

To add on to my other post, I'm one of the few kids my age up here in Canada to have seen it on tv. They stopped airing it here in 1995 so I didn't know about SatAM until I went on a trip when i was five (turning six) and found it on tv back in 2004. I already knew about the games and the other shows, but SatAM was new to me. I saw Sonic Racer and Hooked On Sonics, and fell in love. Unfourtunalely I didn't get to watch it again any time soon.

Then when I was eight I re-discovered it and they played it back to back with AoStH. I always preferred SatAM and got much more exited when it came on. I had the theme memorized in a few days and sang along. Years later it remained in my head but all I could remember was that it was based on Sonic, it was dark, Tails was there, there was a princess with a very common name who always gave Sonic kisses on the cheek, that Robotnik's voice scared the crap outta me, and of course the badass theme with the epic part "Sonic, he's got an attitude!" with Sonic sliding between the Swatbots sticking his tongue out. (That was always my favourite part!) But when my friend and I started looking up nostalgic shows we remembered Sonic so I looked up the Sonic shows and found the one I spent years looking for! I do wish I was able to watch it on TV where I actually live, though. I always got shows on VHS! And am now so happy to have come across SatAM.

Lol... tails as old as Tails... Anyway, when SatAM came out, I wasn't even born yet... Too bad I'm not from US or UK, so I never got to see the show until this year (2012). Argh... That's so sad, because SatAM is so awesome!

Lol Harry, I feel you man... I'm some years past the start of my adolescence, but I really know how you felt. I mean, sure, she's animated and she's a squirrel-chipmunk, but it's hard not to be attracted. :P Somehow, there's something attractive about a female character who's smart, brave, beautiful and kind. Haha... Can't help laughing at myself...

How old are you when's sonic Sat am come out ? I'm find this to be a very funny question because win it 1st I never was thinking how old i was at the time / how many really do ? And beside depending on where you saw it because it started sooner or later then when somebody else it in its 1st run / and that's why I find this to be a strange funny questions / Time is relative

    @jonapedia

Like I said I'm not sure I may have been 9  :tailstongue:

I was 1 year/10 months old when it came out on September 18, 1993 on the American channel ABC. I didn't really appreciate it until I was 12/13 but I also have a weird side note: Roughly around a time before I turned 5-6 years old, I (co)incidentally remember occasions when I was up well at dawn on Saturday mornings and my mom just happens to have the TV turned on the local ABC station. While I don't remember seeing SatAM Sonic specifically, I do remember before 8:00, the local station had it's own hour of syndicated "crap" kids shows (I remember that's when I first seen "Captain Planet" on TV), even if I didn't appreciate it then because I was very "pre-7-to-12" I guess. It's just weird because why would my mom have the channel on the TV if I was too young to appreciate as much as I do today? The only other explanation can be that there was something on the same channel that my mom would be watching before the kid's shows came on.

    :sonichuh:

And my memory doesn't usually go back as far as 1999 when I was 7 or 8, let alone remembering an occasion like what I said above. And even back after I turned 7-8, my childhood memories either don't always "work" for me or it is pretty lazy sometimes.

And real bummer that SatAM struggled with exposure and being pre-empted too.

I was 11 3/4 years of age when I saw the 1st clip of the show during the 1993-1994 ABC Sat. Morning Preview special.

And I stayed a fan of the show for it's whole 104-week run on ABC and CTV(the network with the highest-rated program in TV history in Canada, the 2010 Mens Olympic Hockey Championship between the U.S. and Canada(which Canada won, thank you! =))

I hope, though, that we can see more people upload any original airings of the show from the ABC Network or USA Network to YouTube, or even Archive.org. It could give a better insight as to what episodes aired when on both.

    =)
