    Early draft
Here's a preview of the script for the SatAM 25th anniversary fan-made adventure game, "Sonic and the Sunken Temple." Right now the script stands at 28 pages long, but it is only 30% complete. Be sure to share this with your friends and online groups! And while you're at it, invite them to join our 25th anniversary project's Facebook group too!

    - The following is subject to revision. -

    SONIC
OK, Sal, you've seriously got my head spinning. We're going to Robotropolis, but we're not. We need the Power Ring, but we don't. You mind pulling the ol' bus into the station and showing me the map of where we're going before my head falls off?

    SALLY
Sonic, we went over this last night. Weren't you paying attention?

    BUNNIE
Sally-girl, why don't you just go on ahead and give Sugar-hog a run down again?

    SALLY
OK, you're right, Bunnie. Otherwise we'll just be wasting more time.

    SONIC
    I'm waiting...

    SALLY
*Sigh* We're trying to find a temple that supposedly leads into the Void.

    SONIC
    So I recall.

    SALLY
Well at least you remember something.

    SONIC
Wait a minute, didn't ol' Robotnik say someone invented the Void?

    SALLY
Are you actually saying that Robotnik is a reliable source?

    SONIC
No, I'm just sayin' what he was sayin', that's all. But you're right, he's not exactly a world-renowned truth-teller.

    SALLY
Perhaps the Void has always existed, and they just found a way to access it with their machines? It's something we ought to find out. However, we don't know where the temple is other than it's to the northwest. We believe it's in the Swamp.

    SONIC
    So far so good. And...?

    SALLY
Are you going to keep interrupting?

    SONIC
As long as it stays fun.

    SALLY
The more you interrupt, the longer this is going to take.

    SONIC
Oh, well, then please excuse me. Do continue.

    SALLY
    Thank you.

    ROTOR
We've been hearing that there is a psychic medium living in the Forbidden Zone. We're going to ask her if she knows where we can locate the temple.

    SONIC
And where did "we" hear all this, guys?

    SALLY
From the scouts we sent to Robotropolis.

    SONIC
Oh, well, there's a reliable source - the most polluted and dangerous place on the planet. Not like that info coulda been planted. That's totally below Robotnik's standard of conduct - yeah right!

    SALLY
We're going by more than that, Sonic! We've also found information in the forest and petroglyphs on the stone walls of the canyons.

    TAILS
    I also found one too!

    SONIC
    Found one what, big guy?

    TAILS
    A scroll in the forest.

    SONIC
    A scroll in the forest?

    TAILS
    Yeah, it looked real old!

    SALLY
These scrolls that we keep finding look to be about ten to thirty years old. I think the recent rains might have washed away the mud that's been covering them until now. They look like the kind of scrolls our kingdom's messengers used to carry. They mention a medium and her mother who live in the Forbidden Zone. This psychic is supposed to be able to see things with a sixth sense of some sort. If it's true, then she could be a great ally of ours, and she should be able to tell us where the temple is.

    SONIC
Guys, something smells rotten, and it ain't the ol' sneaks!

    SONIC
*Sniff, sniff* Actually, the ol' sneaks probably need a wash. But I'm still sayin' that it's strange that all of a sudden we're hearing about a psycho in the Forbidden Zone and some mystical temple leading to the Void.

    ANTOINE
For once I am agreeing with Sonic, my princess. The Forbidden Zone is filled with many risks, the northwest is only made of our Great Forest and the perilous Swamp and the unknown beyond, and this psycho sounds like she is toot dangerous too!

    SALLY
Sonic, Antoine, she's a psychic, not a psycho. And we have old maps of what the area looks like, we just don't know where to look.

    SONIC
Sal, the maps we've got are all from before Robotnik took over. They're more than ten years outta date! Who knows how much things have changed out there since then? Ol' Buttnik's been keeping us so busy with all the bots and troubles he throws our way, we haven't had time to root and scoot much outside of our usual runs. He coulda roboticized the whole place and filled it with SWATbots for all we know! So why risk it?

Thanks! I mostly just tried to make the writing sound like it was from the show without depending too much on references. I wanted for the characters to sound and act like themselves, like independent minds thinking and acting like true individuals according to their personalities. If I succeeded in it reading like a lost episode of SatAM, then my mission's accomplished!

You did, at first I wondered which episode you were adapting for that game before I remembered it was an original story!

What's the matter champ, feeling a little...mm...jealous that your script and fan film clip weren't one tenth as good as this little effort?

Whoa, dude, not cool. While I appreciate a compliment, there's no need to be harsh to the guy, right?

You're right, I should follow the "don't feed the narcissist" rule. ;)

I would go into detail regarding my one note expression, but lets just say facetiousness isnt your strong point. :whistling:

And reading comprehension (not to mention the use of apostrophes) clearly isn't yours, because I wasn't being facetious. I genuinely liked his writing and thought it captured the tone of SatAM very well. Just because I'm not nice to a certain diaper fetishist who masturbates into holes he's cut into stuffed animals (and delights in little girls being killed in car accidents) doesn't mean I'm not nice to anyone.
